A perfect set for each stage of fall! The Inklings is my favorite for setting the mood for a cozy, academic September, while Spooky Stories and Horseman’s Hollow pair well for dark and crisp October nights.
I wasn't expecting this to smell as sweet as it does, and that's not a complaint, just something unexpected. Mainly the scent is woody, but there's something else in there that gives it a little sweet lift. I thought it would be too mild for my liking but it eventually filled my room. So, a surprising and pleasant experience.
The Inklings is my favourite, a darker, less sweet version of spring's Halfling Hills (which I also love). Horseman's Hollow is weird but good: I definitely get the sweet smell of hay and some nutmeg, and its subtle fragrance slowly fills my room. Pumpkin Juice is straightforward 'autumn' with pumpkin the forward scent and the vanilla and cinnamon in the background, which is nice. And Spooky Stories is a dark scent despite the accent of cocoa. All four are subtler than I expected and very nice. Another good surprise from Frostbeard.
I absolutely love fall and this scent reminds me of that favorite season. Subtle but pleasing.
I really like this scent, it is spicy but also sweet. Like sweet, earthy whiskey. The scent through is strong, which I prefer. I would definitely buy this one again when it comes around again.
I thought the scent would be more like tomato vines, one of my favorite summer scents, but I don’t smell that at all. I get mainly a tobacco scent off it which is not my favorite. I wish there was an easier way to return.
Sorry the scent wasn't what you expected! We do offer returns or exchanges - I've sent you an email with some solutions because we know ordering scented items online can be tricky.
Absolute best candle! I love that this is an apple scent, not apple cinnamon which is normally what I’d find in the fall. It’s a crisp, fresh, not too sweet or overly strong smell, perfect for the season! I wish it was part of the permanent collection!
I was surprised at how much we liked this candle. Excellent scent throw of a thriving garden with an overlay of sweetness. The tomato leaf is front and center in the best way, with the cucumber blending really nicely. Such a unique candle, so vegetal!
I've been waiting years for them to bring this scent back and now have four of them waiting to be burned. the scent is very strong in the jar but, to me, it mellows out while burning. I plan to burn one for each of the two remaining outlander books I have left to read.
it's a little heavier on the cocoa cake than the rosemary sage but it's delightful and i can't wait to burn it!
Love the sage and rosemary, the chocolate cake is a soft accompaniment that makes it something special. Love this one! (Owens apothacary)
This has the perfect amount of maple and the other aromas keep it from being too cloying.
Absolutely the best candle I have smelled in a long time. I have given this one to quite a few of my friends.
The other scents balance the peach. I would have appreciated a stronger scent/more throw.
Perfect candle for a spring morning. The earthy/greenery smell is nicely complimented by a subtle tobacco undertone. One of my Frostbeard favorites!
The caramel sweetens the coffee scent just the perfect amount. And underneath it all is a very subtle scent of newsprint paper. It's a classic scented candle with a hint of originality
Love the combo of the refreshing citrus scent with just a little bit of spice from the ginger.
Nice blend of the sweet with the scent of Mediterranean greenery. I do wish it had a stronger throw though.
I'm not wild on tonka, but I tried this because I have so often been surprised by liking a Frostbeard scent that I thought I wouldn't like. It's ooo-kay for me, and has confirmed that I am not a great fan of tonka. But I will say that it's an unusual scent, kind of soft and comforting, and the 4 oz does fill a room with a subtle scent. I'll cheerfully burn it but will stick with non-tonka scents in future.
