Book Cellar - Wax Melts

I'm one of those people who loves that earthy basement smell, so this candle is PERFECT. The vanilla bean gives the scent just a hint of sweetness, which really rounds everything out!

I bought this candle at my local book store, Paperback Shack! There was only one left and I've been burning it as I read "Needful Things" and I'm so sad to say that i'm almost at the end of this amazing candle! I wish it was available all the time, but I guess I'll have to stock up when it come out again!

Im not usually a fan of the candlea with "dirt" scent in them. But I do love a basement smell so of course I'll give it a try! I have not burned it yet, but the smell certainly does remind me of a basement!

One of my favorites from Frostbeard Studio. Makes me wish I had a basement full of books!

Normally we love our Frostbeard candles but this one doesn’t live up to its name. No musty cellar smell at all, just sweet vanilla. 😖

Not very fragrant at all. Does not fill the house or even a room like the other candles Inhave bought from Frostbeard. Disappointed to say the least.

It does smell like a book cellar--even the dirt and basement part--but in a good way!! It feels like just like going down into the cellar to get something you love. I found it to be a very comforting scent.

I have books all over the house, some antiques and some not, and I spend time in antique bookstores and libraries. This fragrance is totally reminiscent of those happy times and it’s one of my new favorites!

The candle is EXACTLY what I wanted it to smell like. I didn't feel as enthusiastic about the scent it throws out when lit, but it's still good.

I’m just excited about these candles and reading with them lit on the table beside me.

I love the wax melts so much, it smells like dirt, musty, but also almost sweet or warm.

It smells nice and I like it. I wish it smelled a bit more earthy; less sweet.

The hint of vanilla really makes this candle shine. I first sampled a 2 ounce tin, then came back for the jar!

I wasn't sure what I would get with this, felt like a risk to order! But I was pleasantly surprised! The sweetness and the musty smell is spot on to the memory I have of our farmhouse basement growing up, and not overpowering. Love to keep this scent in my home office, I've become a fan!

This smells exactly as I hoped. I'm currently reading a fantasy novel which has a lot of scenes in the wilderness and dirt floor buildings and this candle really helps to bring it to life.

A little bit weird at first but now that I am used to it I love it !

This candle is spot on, the loamy-dirt smell is earthy and pleasant, the vanilla balances it out perfectly.

This is the one I look forward to every Spring. It’s bookish without being overpowering. It’s earthy and sweet and while most of the candles I like transport me to a fantastical setting, this one grounds me to the ideal setting of reading a book.

I purchased Book Celler candle for my friend who is a huge book lover. She was very pleased to receive it and loved the scent.

Pretty accurate in smell description. Smells really good.

my favorite candle of all time. its not exactly what i was hoping for.... i wanted it to smell like an actual basement. its pretty close though. to me it is a tiny bit spicy, not cinnamon but almost. like a very warm basement or attic. i definitely dont get a lot of vanilla... maybe a tiny tiny bit. but it is just very unique. nostalgic. i really do wish the scent was stronger when burning. i also like the old books one.

I bought this one out of curiosity. It smelled better than I expected. The vanilla helped. I can see why this scent has a cult following, but it’s not for me.

When I saw this scent, I was so intrigued. It DOES smell like basement (but only in the best way, I promise!), and the hint of vanilla goes well with it. It's definitely a weaker candle, but for this scent, I like that.

I can only smell vanilla, not getting any sort of basement scent. Disappointing.

Ok so initial sniff test, before burning, has notes of vanilla, as well as the dirt and basement hints..... Which I honestly found a little gross.
The good news, though, is that when you burn it, it's just a very rich vanilla - but not a strong scent. So it's not gross when you burn it - but it's so weak/mild that it's hard to catch the scent.

I love the scent of this. Earthy with a subtle sweetness. It's very mild, but it's so unique. If you have a small room, the throw works.

Maybe I'm a weirdo, but I love the musty/odd scents from this company. Some might say I am OBSESSED, but I love that this scent smells exactly like I'm down the basement surrounded by old books, but not worried about mold and creepy bugs. I bought the wax melts, and only wish this scent were stronger. I was hoping the old books scent would be more along these lines.

I purchased the wax melts and I am very happy with this one. I still have yet to burn them so I am unsure of the type of throw the scent will have, but I am absolutely amazed at the combination of scents they were able to capture. I can definitely smell a "dirt" aspect which I LOVE - it really does smell like you're in an underground cellar and I am not disappointed.

I looove the ‘odder’ scents of Frostbeard, ones with notes of dirt, moss, fire, aged paper, leather. This candle really smells like you’re exploring an old book cellar in a manor. It doesn’t have the strongest throw, but the scent is so great I still give it 5 stars.

This does smell good, but I wish it was stronger. All your candles should be strong.

This is one of my favorite candles, period. So uniquely earthy, subtly sweet, and cool. I panicked when it went out of season last year, lol. It fills the room nicely without being overwhelming. I just love it!
