New Paperback - 8 oz Jar

It smells vaguely of new paperbacks, but also there's something I don't quite like about it, whether lit or not. Not sure what it is. It isn't necessarily bad, it just isn't my favorite and I don't think I would get this again.

Smells like books!

I have to say I like the idea of this candle more than I like the smell.

Love this scent and think it does a great job of capturing the smell of a new book. My one complaint is that even in a small room the throw is almost nonexistent. If it was stronger, this candle would be perfect!

This frostbeard scent really does smell like sticking your face into a brand new book. It's similar to old books but less cucumber and more ink. Throw is pretty good with the wax melts.

If I could sit and smell this candle all the time, all day long, I would be a happy reader. Makes me think of a new stack of books I purchased.

It's so subtle of a candle but in a small room this is just wonderful while reading a book. It enhanced the mood and I love new paper smells. Make sure you have this in an area that can handle it as it is mild and may make it smell non-existent.

I'm amazed at how Frostbeard Studio managed to turn the smell of a new book into a candle. Incredible!

I have no idea how they did it, but the 'fresh ink' is the biggest scent and it is such a fun candle! I loved the title (because Old Books is one of my favorite scents) and felt like this was a playful contrast! Definitely recommend if you're looking for a bookish gift!

This sweet scent is as expected, like sniffing a new book. It is a touch sweet, leaning towards soapy, but pleasant nonetheless.

I got this for a friend’s birthday and it smelled great when it arrived, she really liked it!

I prefer the sweeter and deeper notes in the Old Books compared to this one's but this one is still good.

This is fairly spot on for what I envisioned for a new paperback scent. Smells like new fresh paper when you crack open and flip through a new book. Pleasant and not overwhelming scent.

Since Old Books is my favorite Frostbeard scent, I had to get this and it didn’t disappoint. It has very similar papery notes of Old Books but it’s..crisper and fresher smelling..it’s absent of the sweeter buttery lemon scent. It does smell like the pages of a new book! So both candles have been very accurate to me.

I bought this one as a gift for my Litsy penpal, but I already tried the tarts myself. Definitely a great find if you are trying to please someone who loves all things hygge.

A mild scent that really feels like you are cuddled up with a book. Pairs well while reading on my Kindle paperwhite.

This candle's scent stays the same whether it's unlit or burning. A light aroma that's perfect for a study or book nook. It definitely reminds me of the first time you open a brand new paperback! Looking forward to ordering again when it comes back around.

This is definitely the smell of a new paper book, complete with newly dried ink! Usually I’m more into the small of aged paperbacks (weird I know—they’re so musty!) but this scent has its appeal too! I just love all books, I guess! It’s always amazing how a candle can fill a space with warmth and scent and transform it completely.

I love the smell of this candle, but it is far too subtle. I wish it was twice as strong! I suppose when you start a new paperback, you are always looking for something intense. I will keep reading.

Wonderful candle very much in the vein of FB's "Old Books," but with a crisper scent, almost like fresh linen. I ordered more after being only half-way done with my first one. Should be a year-round scent.

This candle has a light and airy smell-- cotton-y and a little soapy. It'd be lovely for summer, because it gives the room a clean, fresh feel.

This candle is amazing! The scent smells wonderful and is not overpowering like some. I do regret not getting it in a larger size. The 2oz candle didn’t last very long.

This is one of the first candles I burned for an extended period of time in a small bedroom which I use for writing and studio space, and now every time I enter that room, I still pick up the subtle notes. It really helps me imagine a fresh space, a blank page, and creates an environment in which I can create freely. I love it! While it's not a super strong scent, and I burn it sparingly, I will take a deep breath of the scent, and take a moment to get into the creative headspace. This is a great candle for writing desks and studio spaces!

This candle is very subtle, not for filling a room with a strong scent. The paper notes were the strongest to me, so it's perfect when I'm curled up, reading an ebook, and I miss that real book smell!
