Winter Book Club - 8 oz Jar

I very much enjoyed this unique candle, just like all Frostbeard candles! The amaretto comes through the most for me, with a sweet scent. I definitely smell the warmth of the chestnuts and clean citrus as well. The candles I receive are always clean, well balanced, with good color and burn nicely. I love these candles :)

This scent is so delightful. The perfect mix of nutty and sweet without being cloying on the senses. My nose is sensitive so yummy scents that don’t smother a room are so appreciated!!

This wax melt smells delightful. I don't necessarily pick out any of the notes but they combine to create a very pleasant smell that's slightly sweet but not cloying. Great throw.

Usually Frostbeard makes some incredible scent combinations, but this one fell a bit flat for me. The citrus is okay, but it's not bright or tangy or fresh - just sort of there. And I was PUMPED for an amaretto element, but I couldn't really find it, at least not to the degree I was hoping and expecting. Instead, it all just kind of blends together and has a mild but boring scent - like Play Doh. You could probably find this in Target or Walmart. Again, I normally love *everything* this company does, but this just didn't do it for me.

This smells a little like baby aspirin. All the notes seem like they’d be amazing, but none is strong enough to really do anything. It’s pleasant enough but I never walked in a room where it was burning and inhaled deeply out of love like I do with other Frostbeard candles.

The smell is not overly sweet and the citrus cuts nicely.

The first hint you get is the citrus, then the chestnut and the touch of amaretto at the end. The scent is perfect, not too overpowering, not too weak.

I am sometimes over-sensitive to scents, but I was eager to give this candle a try. The scents come through really well without being overpowering, and they also linger long after the candle has been blown out. Highly recommend!

This is one of those candles that you need to smell a minute before all of the scents come out and mingle in your nose.

I LOVE any candle with almond/amaretto/marzipan notes, so I was a sucker for this one. The smell is clean yet creamy and very comforting. It's called "Winter Book Club", but this is less winter cozy and more fresh and soft. You could burn it any time of year. I wish it had a stronger smell when you burn it, but otherwise I love it.

I got this as a gift for my mom and this was her favorite. She loved the amaretto scent!

Almost great..... I wish the amaretto came through a little more (I LOVE that scent). And it doesn't seem as strong as some of the others that are "medium/strong" in scent. But I did love the touch of orange.

I love this candle. It was part of an order of four I made, and this one is by far my favorite: warm and cozy and perfect for winter while also bright and happy. I've burnt it most days since I bought it, it's that good.

This candle smells kind of peachy to me. Probably a mix of the citrus and amaretto that's giving me that sweet smell. I enjoy this scent but I think I'll save it for Spring instead of winter. If the chestnut was stronger I think it'd fall more in the winter category, but despite it's title it smells like a spring scent to me. Still very enjoyable, and I do love it!!!

Unlike some other reviewers, I actually prefer that the citrus notes are stronger in this candle than the amaretto. It makes the candle less sweet than it might be otherwise. Not necessarily my favorite Frostbeard candle ever, but it's pleasant and is definitely a good purchase if you're looking for a scent that's a bit unique.

My wife and I divide our Frostbeard candles into Library, Bathroom, and Kitchen candles. This one I think is a bathroom candle. It’s a bit fruiter than I thought it would be. Not bad, just not what I thought.

If you are going into this thinking Amaretto will be dominant, or even there hardly at all, it's good to know that that wont be the case. Which is a bit surprising since it's the leading description on the label. BUT that isn't to deter you saying this candle isn't great. Even though citrus is the most dominant, it's not an overly sweet or fruity scent. So maybe that's the amaretto calming it down? But I do still love this candle in my office

I love the smell of this candle. It's just on the verge of being sweet, but smells more like a fresh orange creamsicle, light on the creamsicle. Unfortunately it isn't very strong. You really have to sit by it to notice it.

This candle is amazing. The citrus notes blend perfectly with the amaretto scent. It is so cozy and comforting. I wish this candle was part of the permanent winter collection.

i bought this one as soon as it came into stock because i was so intrigued, and i really like it! it's warm and cozy, and the citrus is offset really well by the amaretto and chestnuts. i think i'd say it's more on the medium than strong side, scent-wise, but i do really like it!

This sweet and gentle scent is perfect for curling up with a cozy blanket and read your favorite books. The note I smell the most is that of amaretto, while citrus slightly disappears when lit up. The scent is not too strong so you can keep the candle lit up for a long time without it pervading the room.

Picture a roaring fire with a few close friends sitting on the rug in front of it. A bottle of Amaretto is off to the side, and as the night continues, the bottle grows lighter and lighter. Someone may snuggle their head in someone's lap and doze off. This Winter Book Club doubles candle is lovely -- not overpowering, yet distinct. I hope it comes back sometime!

When the candle first arrived and I went through mandatory jar sniffing motions I couldn't wait to light it up because it smelled amazing! But it kept burning and burning for hours and I couldn't smell anything whatsoever unless I put my nose dangerously close to the flame. So this one is a miss for me.
